Industrialise on-wing maintenance capabilities for global civil engine fleet.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The Services Business Officer will industrialise existing and future on‑wing maintenance capabilities for the global civil large‑engine fleet. The role sits within the On‑Wing Operations team based in Derby, UK, part of Rolls‑Royce’s Aftermarket Operations business. The team supports the entire civil aerospace fleet by providing real‑time data, spare parts, spare engines and on‑wing services to customers worldwide. The primary responsibility is to bridge the gap between the capability development team and the On‑Wing Services team. This includes defining global fleet requirements, managing the industrialisation plan, integrating engineering, procurement, fleet planning and value‑streams, and collaborating with external service providers. Forecasting load and capacity and delivering results quickly are essential to maximise business benefit. • Lead and manage delivery of workstreams or small projects that industrialise new capabilities across the global services network. • Build and maintain effective relationships with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Vendor Teams, Site Leads, value streams) to align activities and deliverables. • Support development and implementation of initiatives that unlock capability for global customers, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and capability plans. • Deliver localized changes in processes, ways of working, or capability deployment, including training plans, tools and standardisation packages. • Monitor, track and report on key deliverables, milestones and risks; provide updates to the programme lead and escalate issues as needed. • Maintain accurate project records and adhere to governance and compliance frameworks. • Identify opportunities to streamline service readiness activities and embed lessons learned into future projects.
