About the Role

At KBR you will work on innovative prototype projects supporting the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory’s missions, collaborate in an Agile, rapid‑prototyping environment, and see your contributions directly expand national capabilities across the Intelligence Community, DoD, and partner nations. • Manage and maintain the Gravity DevSecOps pipeline infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud). • Oversee configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of pipeline components for high availability and performance. • Implement and manage containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization solutions. • Ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability to meet evolving project demands. • Automate deployment and operational tasks using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation). • Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to securely integrate new software components. • Optimize CI/CD workflows to increase development speed, reliability, and security. • Enforce DevSecOps best practices and apply patches, updates, and security controls per Space Force and DoD standards. • Maintain compliance with security policies, STIGs, and other government regulations. • Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits with security teams to mitigate risks. • Develop monitoring solutions to track system performance, availability, and security. • Respond to system outages, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents in real time. • Implement disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure business continuity. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices.

What You Bring

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (U.S. citizen required). • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator, DevOps engineer, or similar role supporting complex infrastructures. • Proficiency in managing Linux/Unix‑based and Windows‑based environments. • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies. • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization technologies. • Skill with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet). • Understanding of network management, storage solutions, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Strong knowledge of security protocols, patch management, firewalls, and IDS/IPS. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for cross‑functional teams. • Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance (U.S. citizen required) – desired. • Experience working within DoD, Space Force, or other defense‑related environments – desired. • Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, or other government compliance frameworks – desired. • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or RHCSA – desired.
