About the Role

The role involves planning, laying out, and performing all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in compliance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The employee may also work in other crafts as appropriate to training and skills, and must follow directions from higher‑skilled workers or a foreman. • Eliminate waste (waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, time). • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance; explain deficiencies and take corrective action. • Identify improvement opportunities in tasks, methods, and learn from others. • Maintain positive working relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively at all times. • Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work. • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards; use trade tools and equipment effectively. • Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis for communication. • Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.

What You Bring

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Possess required experience level in industrial/commercial construction (3‑6+ years) with in‑depth pipefitter trade knowledge. • Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest). • Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently. • Stooping, kneeling, or bending occasionally.
