About the Role
The position focuses on installing and servicing card access, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and electronic fire alarm systems while leading a team of installation technicians. Responsibilities also encompass project management, client communication, detailed reporting, and maintaining truck inventory to meet service demands. • Install, troubleshoot, and service card access, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites. • Lead, direct, and mentor installation technicians throughout project execution. • Manage project timelines, schedule regular meetings, and produce detailed progress reports. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, submittals, and operational manuals. • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures using technical manuals, bulletins, and change notices. • Perform installations, programming, and testing via smartphones and laptops, obtaining customer signatures upon completion. • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to service calls. • Adhere to safety guidelines, including the Zero Harm policy, while working on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces. • Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication with staff and clients. • Work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional overnight travel, to meet customer requirements. • Lift and move equipment up to 70 lb and work at heights up to 40 ft.

What You Bring
Qualified candidates bring at least ten years of security‑industry experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Physical fitness for lifting equipment up to 70 lb, working at heights, and handling flexible schedules—including weekends and occasional travel—is required, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks. Preferred qualifications include NICET certification, an associate degree in IT or electronics, fire‑alarm and networking experience, and familiarity with NFPA standards. The role offers an hourly rate of $25‑$36, subject to experience, and adheres to Johnson Controls' equal‑opportunity employment principles. • Possess at least 10 years of experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming security systems. • Demonstrate proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters and digital analyzers. • Hold a valid driver’s license, meet company driving‑record standards, and pass background and drug tests. • Show strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
