About the Role

The Industry Lead – Roads NSW will head KBR’s roads and highway capability across the state. The role blends business development, bid leadership and project execution, requiring oversight of multidisciplinary delivery teams. It also contributes to shaping the broader maritime capability strategy, providing high‑quality engineering advice to clients. The position involves day‑to‑day project leadership with the Transport team, identifying innovative value‑adds and articulating them to clients. It includes managing client relationships, pursuit planning and proposal processes, as well as early‑stage positioning and pre‑tender planning to improve win rates. The leader will maintain a pipeline of opportunities and ensure projects meet cost, schedule and quality targets. • Lead Roads and highway capability in NSW, overseeing multidisciplinary delivery teams. • Provide day‑to‑day project leadership and coordinate with the Transport team. • Identify and promote innovative value‑adds to differentiate KBR for clients. • Manage client relationships, pursuit planning and proposal development. • Conduct early‑game positioning and pre‑tender planning to improve win probability. • Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities with agreed targets. • Ensure successful project delivery against cost, schedule and quality objectives. • Lead internal and external multidisciplinary teams, ensuring contract compliance.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has a solid record in transport infrastructure, especially roads, and deep experience within the NSW transport sector. A degree‑qualified engineer with strong technical design skills, extensive consulting experience, and proven ability to develop winning strategies is required. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and a network of maritime contacts are essential, together with knowledge of commercial arrangements and a commitment to health and safety. • Demonstrated track record in transport infrastructure, preferably roads, within NSW. • Degree‑qualified engineer with strong technical design ability in consulting. • Experience developing win strategies, proposal methodologies and securing new business. • Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong industry relationships, especially in the maritime sector. • Knowledge of commercial arrangements and commitment to health and safety.
