In this role you will work on assigned projects for electrical equipment and deliver technical solutions to customers. You will also perform less conventional, complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations. Proficiency is required in test equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, protective relays, power quality measurements, disaster recovery, rotating machinery, and protection & control design, and you must generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent trade school training) with a minimum of two years of electrical or mechanical industry experience, or a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least one year of field service evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship; no relocation is offered, though candidates within a 50‑mile radius are considered, and active‑duty military members are exempt from the geographical limitation. The position requires the ability to work variable hours, including nights and weekends, and to travel within the district, state, region, or country based on customer requirements. You must be willing to obtain a Department of Transportation non‑CDL qualification and comply with all DOT regulatory requirements if required. Understanding of three‑phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment is essential, as is adherence to electrical safety measures and the capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing, with regular lifts up to 50 pounds. Additional expectations include obtaining and maintaining a valid TWIC card and being proficient with hand and power tools for equipment assembly. You should work well under time constraints and stressful situations, be able to explain technical problems and solutions clearly, and collaborate effectively with the team to meet project deadlines. The application window for this position is anticipated to close on February 11, 2026. The employer is committed to equal employment opportunities and makes hiring decisions without regard to protected characteristics. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction histories will be considered in accordance with applicable fair‑chance ordinances, and reasonable accommodations are available for disability‑related needs. The organization recognizes the importance of comprehensive benefit programs, which may vary based on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and collective bargaining agreements. Relevant experience includes testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, as well as performing power quality measurements, analysis, and work with protective relays. • Demonstrate proficiency with test equipment, troubleshooting, protective relays, power quality measurements, disaster recovery, rotating machinery, and protection & control design. • Minimum qualifications: High school diploma/GED (or trade school) with 2+ years experience, or BS in Engineering with 1+ year field service experience. • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship; candidates within a 50‑mile radius preferred; active‑duty military exempt. • Ability to work variable hours, including nights and weekends, and travel regionally or nationally as required. • Understand three‑phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage distribution equipment. • Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card; proficient with hand and power tools for equipment assembly. • Work effectively under time constraints and stress; explain technical problems and collaborate with team to meet deadlines.
