About the Role
The Senior HVAC Sales Engineer will market and sell Carrier Applied and Industrial HVAC products and solutions to current and potential customers within an assigned region. The position combines technical knowledge with strong interpersonal skills, requiring effective communication with partners, openness in raising issues, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment. An experienced sales team and staff will provide training and support. This role emphasizes driving sales performance, building long‑term customer relationships, and overseeing projects from quotation through delivery and cash collection. Success requires collaboration with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and facility owners across sectors such as education, healthcare, and private corporations. • Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets. • Lead and grow assigned territory by identifying new customers and maintaining relationships. • Call on and support mechanical contractors, consulting engineering firms, and facility owners/developers. • Assist customers during bid day, handle post‑sale submittals, and manage order entry. • Perform take‑offs and prepare quotes. • Promote Carrier product line at trade shows, marketing events, and local educational initiatives. • Support project management after shipment, including cash collection and accounts receivable.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of commercial HVAC sales or engineering experience, or a high‑school diploma/GED with six years of relevant experience, and possess a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include an engineering degree, experience with Applied HVAC equipment, knowledge of HVAC design tools, and LEED AP accreditation. Strong interpersonal abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM are also required. • Bachelor’s degree with ≥3 years commercial HVAC sales/engineering experience (or high school/GED with ≥6 years experience). • Valid driver’s license. • Preferred: Bachelor’s in engineering or related field; experience with Applied HVAC equipment; knowledge of HVAC design tools; LEED AP accreditation a plus. • Strong interpersonal and customer‑focus skills. • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM.
