About the Role
Key responsibilities span safety leadership, maintenance oversight, hazard monitoring, support activities, and communication of safety metrics. The technician collaborates with site leadership, safety counterparts, and regional managers to drive safety initiatives across the facility. • Drive safety culture among peers, building site‑level accountability. • Lead safety committees and meetings, producing materials and action plans. • Coach technicians on proper site escalation procedures. • Inspect technician PPE, tools, and equipment to reduce incidents. • Perform job hazard analysis to identify workplace hazards. • Conduct audits ensuring compliance with Amazon, CWS, and regulatory agencies. • Facilitate, document, and ensure required safety trainings for all employees. • Partner with site leadership to track Good Catches that need follow‑up. • Provide feedback on CWalk safety insights to improve site conditions. • Report safety metrics to site leadership and regional safety managers. • Attend safety meetings to address issues impacting the customer. • Perform inspections involving crouching, bending, and reaching; walk 6‑12 miles per day. • Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and type on a computer 1‑2 hours daily.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications include knowledge of complex conveyance, building, and automation systems with a focus on safe operation, repair, and lock‑out techniques, as well as a working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, especially Excel‑based data analysis, and be able to work flexible schedules and audit each shift equally. Preferred qualifications are an associate’s degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field. The role demands physical capabilities such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using an aerial lift, and lifting up to 50 lb, while wearing required PPE. The position requires frequent movement between departments, floors, and properties (averaging 6‑12 miles per day), work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures, and regular computer use for 1‑2 hours daily. • Own safety work orders, action items, projects, and network actions. • Knowledge of complex conveyance, building, and automation systems with safe operation, repair, and lock‑out techniques. • Working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with emphasis on Excel data analysis. • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts and audit each shift equally. • Associate’s or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields (preferred). • Physical ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, use aerial lift, and lift up to 50 lb. • Capability to wear required PPE such as hard hat, mask, shield, and composite toe shoes.
