About the Role

The Senior Structural Engineer serves as a technical expert, leading design activities, supervising staff, and managing larger projects while supporting the broader objectives of the firm. • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering, resolving complex problems. • Plan and develop project or design activities. • Organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians. • Act as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not the sole focus.

What You Bring

• Preferred qualification: Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis. • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. • Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience related to building design. • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the position location. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical software. • Experience in design calculations and layouts. • Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. • Understanding of gravity and lateral analysis. • Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
