About the Role

Mortenson is looking for a Senior Planning and Scheduling Manager to lead complex planning and scheduling assignments across multiple projects. The role includes providing leadership, coordinating team members, and overseeing planning strategies at both project and group levels. The successful candidate will work within Mortenson's diverse operating groups to drive schedule excellence. The manager will supervise all planning and scheduling activities, ensuring corporate standards are applied and that project work conforms to those standards. Responsibilities include reviewing mitigation efforts, managing the scheduling team through coaching and performance evaluations, and handling hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions as needed. The role also involves collaborating with Business Development on proposal strategies, identifying schedule risks, and leading improvement initiatives across the organization. • Oversee planning and scheduling for all projects within the operating group. • Ensure corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and complied with. • Supervise, coach, and evaluate the scheduling team, including hiring and dismissal decisions. • Develop leadership potential through task assignments and career growth opportunities. • Collaborate with Business Development on proposal schedules, risk identification, and mitigation. • Lead corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives and best‑practice sharing. • Manage budget and resource allocation for scheduling activities at the group level.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field and at least twelve years of construction experience, preferably as a project manager or superintendent. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, 4D visual planning, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to lead multiple teams while delivering exceptional customer service. Travel may be required, and a solid understanding of EEO and affirmative action policies is essential. • Require a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum twelve years of construction experience, preferably as a project manager or superintendent. • Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, 4D visual planning, and construction sequencing. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, oral and written communication, and public speaking skills. • Ability to lead multiple project teams and deliver exceptional customer service.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $210,000, with higher levels for specific locations, and includes eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
