About the Role

The incumbent will steer strategic planning and operational efficiency, ensuring that transformational projects align with business goals while fostering cross‑functional collaboration to refine processes and support initiatives. The role involves guiding the business area toward improved outcomes by monitoring performance metrics, reporting to senior leaders, and overseeing project execution, process enhancements, stakeholder relationships, and organizational change. • Evaluate business scorecard results and ensure action plans are established and executed. • Drive completion of transformational objectives and maintain performance governance tools. • Communicate performance outcomes to senior leadership to clarify strategic objectives. • Provide direction and oversight for large, complex transformational projects and initiatives. • Lead the creation and execution of project plans, including resource planning and scheduling. • Develop and implement new processes and procedures arising from project outcomes. • Consult on enterprise-wide continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives. • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders. • Leverage partnerships to improve business performance and ensure compliance with new standards. • Design and implement change management strategies for complex transformation programs. • Assess change impacts for stakeholder groups and initiate measurement programs for adoption. • Lead business planning efforts, creating operating plans, baselines, and performance metrics. • Evaluate KPIs and individual goals for alignment with strategic initiatives. • Communicate plans clearly to ensure expectations are documented and executed. • Influence others and build consensus without formal management authority. • Oversee budget formulation and forecasting processes for the business area.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and bring at least eight years of operations experience—preferably in the utility sector—plus demonstrated expertise in strategy development, performance measurement, project and budget management, and influencing without direct authority. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, and knowledge of work‑management systems is a plus. • Demonstrate collaborative leadership within a matrixed organizational structure. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. • Minimum eight years of operations experience, preferably within the utility industry. • At least one year of experience in strategy and planning development. • Proven experience with business performance measures, scorecards, and project management. • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and lead change initiatives. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Preferred knowledge of work management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
