About the Role
• Review and manage operations to ensure technical product quality • Establish long‑range objectives, goals, and plans for the team • Provide technical and management leadership to the team • Develop marketing program aligned with discipline goals • Review monthly productivity and labor hour utilization, report and adjust as needed • Assign projects to staff and schedule work • Evaluate employee performance per company policy • Maintain staff backlog • Hire all discipline staff within the team • Develop staff skills and abilities for successful execution • Utilize standard GIS procedures and help develop new/enhanced procedures • Conduct annual and mid‑year reviews, set career path goals, and mentor staff • Participate actively in marketing and business development • Ensure compliance with and enforce health & safety policies • Manage projects for PA & NJ Federal, State, County, and Local Government clients • Work with Esri apps such as Field Maps, StoryMaps, Survey123, Workforce • Utilize GPS data collection processes with ArcGIS apps

What You Bring
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Department Manager in Mt Laurel, NJ to lead GIS projects, train staff, and generate regional work. The role requires strong leadership, profitability, and client management, overseeing financial performance, technical proposals, budgets, scheduling, and staff guidance. Effective communication and collaboration with multi‑department teams and senior management are essential to support GIS tasks within budget and deadlines. • Hold MS in GIS or related fields (BS in GIS, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography) • Possess Professional GIS certification (GISP) • Bring 10‑15+ years of GIS experience • Demonstrate deep knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise • Have specialized experience with any Esri extension • Possess Esri App Builder experience and ArcGIS developer knowledge • Understand regional utility regulations • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English for job communications
