About the Role

In this role you will design and lead customer engagement activities across industries, covering change management, organizational development, campus and workplace strategy, and real estate portfolio strategy. You will lead teams through complex strategy projects for local, regional, and global clients, support emerging service development, and present findings to executive audiences. Responsibilities also include identifying new service offerings, designing and facilitating workshops for groups of 4 to 40+ participants, gathering and interpreting research to generate fresh ideas, and contributing to business development and proposal creation. • Research and analyze insights to inform client strategy. • Lead customer engagement across change management, workplace, and real estate strategy. • Manage complex strategy projects for local, regional, and global clients. • Design and facilitate virtual and in‑person workshops for groups of 4–40+ participants. • Gather and interpret research to generate user insights and innovative ideas. • Contribute to business development, lead project pursuits, and develop proposals.

What You Bring

As a Gensler Strategist in the San Francisco office, you will research and analyze insights to drive creative discourse with a diverse range of clients. You will collaborate across offices and studios with dynamic teams, leveraging experience in design strategy alongside Gensler’s industry leaders. Comfort in a fast‑paced, open environment and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential, as is being a self‑starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a talent for mapping processes to solve client problems while building relationships. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, interior design, business administration, or organization development, and have 0‑5 years of professional experience in design strategy, space planning, consulting, market research, corporate strategy, real estate services, or product development. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, and virtual facilitation platforms such as Miro and Microsoft Teams is required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A demonstrated commitment to sustainability and a portfolio including at least one relevant project in PDF format are mandatory; this position is on‑site only, not hybrid or remote. • Hold a BA/BS or MA in architecture, interior design, business, or organization development. • Possess 0–5 years experience in design strategy, space planning, consulting, or related fields. • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Microsoft Teams. • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and include relevant portfolio project.

Benefits

The base salary is estimated between $75,000 and $82,000, complemented by bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
