About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will join the Operations Maintenance team, repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout a building. The role includes installing, maintaining and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentoring junior technicians. Daily duties include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on material handling equipment such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes and relays, and tracking departmental inventory. Shifts may last up to 12 hours, require lifting up to 49 lb, and involve up to 20 % travel. • Support Operations Maintenance by repairing and maintaining material handling and pneumatic equipment. • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution systems. • Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills. • Perform safety‑first practices and document preventative maintenance activities. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on belts, motors, sensors, and relays. • Track and manage department inventory using a CMMS.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible availability for weekends, nights and holidays, and at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting predictive and preventative maintenance. Preferred credentials include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint and schematic reading, and familiarity with CMMS and robotic/electromechanical maintenance. The position demands repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting and extended standing or walking, with occasional lifts of up to 49 lb. Working conditions can include small, dusty or noisy spaces, temperature extremes, vibration, concrete floors and awkward equipment configurations. The role is on‑site in Cocoa, FL, and does not offer visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
