About the Role

We are hiring a Land Development Project Engineer/Manager in Calgary to lead municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway, and site‑servicing projects across Southern Alberta and the Canadian Rockies. The role involves guiding multidisciplinary teams through all design phases, managing budgets, schedules, and quality, and serving as a trusted advisor to public and private clients. • Lead planning, design, and execution of municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway, and site‑servicing projects. • Guide multidisciplinary teams through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases. • Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor from project start to completion. • Coordinate with municipal, utility, and regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals. • Manage project budgets, schedules, scope, and quality to ensure predictable outcomes. • Perform site inspections and provide technical oversight during construction. • Mentor emerging professionals within the Calgary municipal design practice. • Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition, fee estimation, and RFP responses.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have 10‑15+ years of land‑development experience, a civil engineering bachelor’s degree, an active Alberta P.Eng., and a strong grasp of municipal permitting and infrastructure standards. PMP certification, mountain‑region project exposure, and a valid driver’s licence are considered assets. Health, safety, and equity are core values; all employees must adhere to our HSE policies, and we encourage applications from diverse backgrounds. Safety‑sensitive positions require the ability to perform physical tasks in varied environmental conditions. • Possess 10‑15+ years of land development experience for public and private sector clients. • Hold a civil engineering bachelor’s degree and active Alberta P.Eng. designation. • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary technical teams. • Strong knowledge of Alberta municipal processes, permitting pathways, and infrastructure standards. • Experience designing water, sanitary, stormwater, and roadway systems. • PMP certification and mountain‑region project exposure are assets. • Valid driver’s licence for site‑based work.
