About the Role

The Transportation Project Manager will play a central role in delivering complex transportation projects, contributing to the firm’s growth and reputation in the North Texas market. The position offers opportunities to lead initiatives, guide junior team members, and collaborate with a diverse set of public clients. • Manage client communication, project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and quality control. • Mentor and train junior engineers. • Assist in business development and networking to secure new projects. • Perform analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, and reports for transportation projects. • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.

What You Bring

Freese and Nichols is looking for a highly motivated Transportation Project Manager to help shape the future of transportation in North Texas. The role is based in Dallas, Fort Worth or Frisco, TX and will involve delivering exceptional transportation projects for prominent public clients. This position offers the chance to see designs come to life and improve daily commutes for Texans. Ideal candidates will possess a civil engineering degree, extensive experience in roadway design, and a proven record of managing projects. A Texas Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain one quickly is required. • Minimum 6+ years roadway design experience and 2+ years progressive project‑management experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. • Texas Professional Engineering license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months. • Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads/OpenRoads Designer. • Preferred: experience with Texas Department of Transportation design requirements and LGPP projects.
