About the Role
The role involves performing start up of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems, completing pre-formatted start up reports, and assisting factory-certified start up technicians when equipment requires factory start up. You will troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure installations comply with factory recommendations, assist building automation/controls and test-and-balance contractors, and work with the commissioning agent to verify system performance as designed. • Perform start up of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems. • Complete pre-formatted start up reports and assist factory-certified technicians. • Troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure compliance with factory recommendations. • Assist building automation/controls contractor with equipment interface and control. • Assist test and balance contractor with air and water flow balancing. • Collaborate with commissioning agent to demonstrate system performance as designed.

What You Bring
The position is a full-time Mechanical Start Up and Commissioning Technician based in Charlotte, NC 28217, working day shifts. Applicants should have a working knowledge of commercial HVAC service fundamentals, commercial controls for HVAC, and heating hot water and chilled water systems. A basic knowledge of air- and water-side balancing is also desirable. • Possess working knowledge of commercial HVAC service fundamentals and controls. • Basic knowledge of air and water side balancing is desirable.
