About the Role
In this position you will read and interpret installation specifications, determine floor‑plan layouts, power distribution, backup supplies, and cabling for central office equipment, and identify and request parts needed for racking, transmission, power, lighting, and grounding. You will also create comprehensive installation specifications, equipment requirements, bills of materials, drawings, and installation notes, as well as update location records to reflect any modifications arising from installation or engineering activities. • Read and interpret installation specifications for construction projects. • Determine floor‑plan layouts, power distribution, backup supplies, and cabling for central office equipment. • Identify and request parts for low‑ and high‑level racking, transmission, power, aisle lighting, and grounding. • Create accurate installation specifications, equipment requirements, BOMs, drawings, and installation notes. • Update location records and documents to reflect modifications from installation or engineering activities. • Review installation specifications for compliance.

You should have entry‑level technical experience (about one year), a high school diploma or GED, be computer‑literate, possess strong communication skills, be dependable, trainable, and able to lift at least 10 lb. Travel up to 75% of the time, often away from home for several weeks, is required. • Commitment to safety and ability to follow instructions. • Proven track record of high‑quality workmanship. • Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on technical skills. • Entry‑level experience (≈1 year) with high school diploma or GED. • Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication. • Dependable, trainable, coachable, and able to manage time on customer sites. • Ability to lift at least 10 lb and use power tools. • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time for extended periods.
