About the Role

The Floating Cleaner – On Call works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor to perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. The role follows established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. The cleaner maintains overall cleanliness throughout the building, covering floors, carpets, furniture, fixtures, restrooms, and common areas, while managing waste removal and reporting maintenance issues. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and surfaces using commercial buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo carpets as directed. • Dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and perform periodic high‑dusting. • Clean interior glass, windowsills, and glass on doors, partitions, and specified windows. • Maintain restrooms daily: wipe surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap/toilet paper dispensers, clean tiles, and restock supplies. • Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights. • Collect building trash, replace liners, and place waste in approved containers for removal. • Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and entrances as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing.
