About the Role
The Detailing Group Leader is responsible for effectively leading the Detailers, ensuring aggressive deadlines are met, defining scope, maintaining continual communication, and providing follow‑up. Along with the Supervisor, the Group Lead offers direction, growth, and feedback opportunities to the detailing team. • Lead and manage the Detailing Group, ensuring deadlines are met and scope is defined. • Set expectations for progress, productivity, participation, and conduct. • Mentor and coach team members to maximize department effectiveness. • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training employees. • Demonstrate and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

What You Bring
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and experience with Microsoft Office software. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree or certificate focused on architecture, steel construction, or a related field, as well as experience in the steel industry and detailing. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. • Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or GED and experience with Microsoft Office. • Preferred qualification: Associate’s degree or certificate in Architecture, Steel Construction, or related field; experience in steel industry and detailing.
