About the Role
• Commit to safety on all tasks. • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair streetlight systems and equipment. • Operate a digger derrick or bucket truck safely to access overhead infrastructure. • Set poles, run cable, connect wires and install hardware per specifications. • Secure and transport all required materials, tools and equipment to job sites. • Verify compliance with safety requirements, company policies and local regulations. • Document completed work, site conditions and materials used accurately. • Communicate progress, issues and resolutions to dispatch, supervisors and customers.

What You Bring
The Streetlight Repair Technician works independently as a single‑man crew, performing field repairs on streetlighting infrastructure, including cable placement, outage troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires strong technical skills, solo job execution management, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. The position is field‑based and demands frequent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lb), and working in extreme weather conditions. Employees must have clear vision at distance, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. • Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience. • Maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). • Hold Digger Derrick certification. • Experience setting up 45‑ft concrete poles. • Preferred: 5+ years experience with supervisory and training responsibilities.
