About the Role
The role’s technical duties include designing transmission lines using PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures, generating drawings, bills of materials, and detail documents, and ensuring designs comply with RRC, client, and industry standards. The designer will also mentor junior staff, contribute to internal procedures, and may attend occasional site visits. • Design transmission lines in PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE (wood, steel, concrete) and produce related drawings and material lists. • Apply RRC, client, and industry standards (NESC, RUS, ASCE 7) to ensure design compliance and quality. • Mentor and train junior designers/technicians while contributing to internal design procedures. • Perform occasional site visits and collaborate with engineering staff.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least a two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience, five years of transmission line engineering design experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and PLS‑CADD/PLS‑POLE. Knowledge of NESC, RUS, ASCE 7, material procurement, and construction packages is required, along with strong communication and organizational skills. Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory; a Round Rock, TX location is a plus. • Hold an associate or technical degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 5 years of transmission line design experience. • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and PLS‑CADD/PLS‑POLE. • Possess strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. • Be authorized to work full‑time in the United States; location in Round Rock, TX is preferred.
