About the Role

• Perform routine repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, HVAC units, drywall, and other mechanical equipment. • Inspect units and common areas to identify maintenance issues and ensure safety compliance. • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property management. • Complete work orders in a timely manner and accurately document all maintenance activities. • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks. • Keep common areas, buildings, and grounds clean and well‑maintained. • Prepare apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, upgrades, and necessary repairs. • Schedule contractors, review completed work, and process invoices while adhering to cost guidelines. • Oversee capital improvement projects and provide regular updates. • Purchase and receive materials and supplies, ensuring proper documentation. • Follow company policies, safety protocols, and fair housing regulations.

What You Bring

We are seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the upkeep of our 125‑unit property in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate has a background in apartment maintenance and repairs and will play a crucial role in providing a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with technical training or certification in maintenance preferred. Candidates should have proven experience in general maintenance and repair work, preferably in a residential or multifamily setting, and possess knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems. The role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, climbing ladders, bending, crawling, and stooping, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred. • Demonstrated experience in general maintenance and repairs, preferably in residential or multifamily housing. • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair. • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, communication, and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and effective task prioritization. • Possess general maintenance tools and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
