About the Role
• Identify required tools and safety precautions for each task. • Fabricate equipment per blueprints or supervisor instructions. • Position and secure rebar, mesh, and end caps using bending machines and hand tools. • Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel using shears, torches, and welding equipment. • Work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.

What You Bring
The Helper Reinforced Ironworker role requires at least two years of relevant experience, the ability to work at heights over 300 ft, and possession of all required tools and reliable transportation. Responsibilities include identifying tools, assessing safety risks, fabricating equipment according to blueprints or supervisor directions, and installing and securing rebar, mesh, end caps, and other metal components using bending machines, hand tools, and fasteners. The position also involves cutting, bending, and welding iron or steel pieces with shears, torches, and welding equipment, while adhering to all safety and PPE requirements. Preferred qualifications include current or former Zachry employment, NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, formal technical education, and experience with scaffolding, insulation, and painting. Physical demands encompass extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working on scaffolding with fall protection in all weather conditions.
