About the Role
The Electrical Apprentice at Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership reports to the Production Supervisor and is primarily responsible for installing and terminating conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices. In this role the apprentice constructs and fabricates control panels, installs interlocking wiring, and performs wiring check‑outs while ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards; duties also include troubleshooting and maintaining electrical control circuits, providing material take‑offs, and proposing modifications to improve system efficiency. • Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components. • Construct and fabricate control panels and perform rough and finish wiring. • Install interlocking wiring and conduct wiring check‑outs. • Ensure all installations meet NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC code requirements. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and devices. • Perform material take‑offs for electrical facility equipment. • Propose plan changes or modifications to improve system operation and efficiency. • Test installed, repaired, or modified equipment for proper performance. • Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine maintenance on equipment. • Maintain detailed maintenance reports and documentation. • Monitor parts usage and report material issues. • Assist in creating preventative and predictive maintenance schedules. • Follow Silent‑Aire safety program and Alberta OHS regulations. • Lift and carry objects up to 50 lb and use necessary hand tools safely. • Work long periods standing and comply with protective equipment requirements. • Communicate effectively with internal team and Production Supervisor.

What You Bring
Candidates must be a registered Apprentice Electrician in Alberta, enrolled in a recognized trade school, capable of working under journeyperson supervision or independently, and possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with keen attention to detail. The position involves physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lb, manual dexterity, long periods of standing, and working in commercial/industrial environments with inherent hazards, requiring strict adherence to safety policies and protective equipment, with overtime as needed.
