About the Role
Under supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B repairs and maintains a variety of diesel and non‑diesel fleet equipment. The role supports drivers by keeping vehicles and specialized components in safe, operating condition. The role includes comprehensive maintenance tasks such as system diagnostics, welding, and both on‑site and road service, all performed under strict safety standards and supplemented by ongoing training. • Maintain and repair highly intricate and powerful machinery. • Work a regular shift in a stable industry. • Repair and maintain chassis components. • Service refuse bodies and associated hydraulic/electrical controls and brakes. • Perform engine repair and maintenance. • Maintain suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. • Execute line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. • Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation. • Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools. • Complete required company training programs.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a solid understanding of work‑order standards and relevant experience with heavy‑duty vehicles, with certifications and licenses considered advantageous. A minimum of one year of experience or recent graduation from an accredited automotive program is required. • Understand work‑order labor time standards. • Experience with maintenance on Classes 1‑5 and 7‑8 trucks, aircraft, or ships. • ASE certifications (T1‑T8) are a plus. • Commercial Driver’s License is a plus. • Valid driver’s license required.
