About the Role
• Analyse and report on manufacturing costs, variances, inventory movements, and cost drivers • Partner with factory, planning, and procurement teams to improve cost efficiency and reduce waste • Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, forecasts, and leadership commentary • Support continuous improvement initiatives through cost analysis and ROI modelling • Participate in stocktakes, cycle counts, and end‑of‑month project reporting

This is an individual‑contributor role ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on data work while partnering closely with operational leaders in a technically sophisticated manufacturing environment. • Exposure to complex, high‑value manufacturing and equipment projects • Strong career development and internal mobility across the Downer group • Stability of a Tier 1 ASX‑listed organisation with deep in‑house capability • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Trade, Advanced Diploma (TAFE) or equivalent experience • Minimum 3 years cost‑control experience in a manufacturing environment • Strong knowledge of standard costing, cost roll‑ups, variances and manufacturing processes • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience advantageous • Proactive, analytical mindset with ability to challenge processes and drive improvement • Experience presenting financial data to senior managers
