About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer Journeyman who will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts. The role involves supporting construction activities across various project types. The journeyman will load and unload equipment, erect and dismantle scaffolding, level ground, and manage mortar, grout, and concrete work, including placement, shoveling, and vibration. They will also conduct general cleanup, remove debris, and provide guidance to junior laborers and apprentices while collaborating with diverse team members. • Load and unload equipment and materials. • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging. • Level ground for scaffold installation. • Tend and handle mortar and grout. • Transfer mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets. • Perform general cleanup and debris removal. • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete. • Vibrate concrete to ensure proper consolidation. • Provide direction to Laborer I, II, helpers, and apprentices. • Build effective relationships with diverse coworkers. • Operate power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements; lift up to 50 lb (assist over 50 lb).

What You Bring

Candidates must have completed a two‑year apprenticeship program and preferably have construction experience. They should be proficient with a range of hand and power tools, equipment such as forklifts and skid loaders, and possess strong teamwork, communication, and customer‑service skills. Benefits
