About the Role
The role involves building a pipeline of advisory work through existing networks, positioning AECOM as a trusted advisor, and representing the business at conferences and on social media. The director will manage a multidisciplinary team of up to five staff, ensure high‑quality delivery, and shape the strategic direction, service portfolio, and financial targets for the advisory unit. Key responsibilities include providing consultancy across airport master planning, capacity analysis, terminal and airfield design, simulation modelling, and sustainability advice, as well as delivering technical due‑diligence, supporting major bids, and maintaining rigorous quality standards. • Grow advisory pipeline by leveraging existing industry contacts and securing new client opportunities. • Lead and mentor a team of up to five multidisciplinary professionals to deliver complex aviation projects. • Define and execute the advisory business strategy, including market targeting, service portfolio development, and annual P&L goals. • Provide consultancy services such as airport master planning, capacity analysis, terminal and airfield design, simulation modelling, and sustainability advice. • Deliver technical due‑diligence, support major bids, and ensure high‑quality deliverables for clients. • Maintain strong client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and represent AECOM at conferences and on social media.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and membership in a recognised professional body, with extensive experience in airport planning, design, engineering or construction.
