About the Role
The Systems Field Engineer/Coordinator will support the systems construction group, coordinating activities across multiple engineering disciplines. This role is part of the Critical Infrastructure team that delivers public‑transport projects and other essential services. Key duties include supervising the systems warehouse, managing its budget, controlling costs, monitoring inventories, and preparing regular reports for senior management. The engineer will also track quality metrics, oversee installation progress, manage readiness and snagging logs, and participate in scheduling workshops with other segments. Representing the Systems group in meetings, audits and on‑site communications is also essential. • Coordinate across communications, signaling, traction power, and overhead catenary systems • Supervise the systems warehouse and manage its budget • Conduct monthly warehouse cost control and report deviations • Monitor inventories and provide accounting reports • Prepare system‑related reports for upper management • Track Cost Of Non‑Quality (CONQ) and snagging logs • Implement and monitor installation progress trackers • Monitor systems readiness trackers and report status • Participate in scheduling workshops for system disciplines • Represent the Systems group in meetings, audits and related events • Deliver clear on‑site communication and timely issue escalation

What You Bring
A post‑secondary engineering degree or diploma and at least three years of relevant experience are required. Candidates should have background in heavy civil construction—preferably LRT projects—and be familiar with overhead catenary, signaling, communications or traction power systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, strong communication, problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions are also needed. • Engineering degree or diploma (post‑secondary) • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience • Experience with overhead catenary, signaling, communications, or traction power (preferred) • Heavy civil construction background, preferably LRT projects • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD • Strong communication, planning, problem‑solving and ability to work under pressure • Physical ability to work outdoors in all Edmonton weather and navigate construction sites
