Inventive electrical connection and protection solutions enabling safer, more resilient systems worldwide.
Sr. R&D Engineer - Advanced Simulation (Chiller)
Perform thermal and fluid simulations for industrial chillers and HVAC systems.
Job Highlights
About the Role
The engineer will lead component‑ and system‑level simulations for chillers, air conditioners, heat exchangers and related subsystems, perform thermal analyses to uncover improvement opportunities, and collaborate with CFD, CAD, mechanical, electrical and firmware engineers to ensure optimized system architecture and successful prototype validation. • Perform component‑ and system‑level simulations for industrial chillers, AC units, heat exchangers, fans, and pumps. • Conduct detailed thermal analysis of subsystems to identify optimization opportunities. • Collaborate with CFD engineers, thermal architects, and test engineers to design efficient system architecture. • Plan prototypes and develop design‑of‑experiments for thermal testing and validation. • Work with CAD designers and cross‑functional engineers to ensure products meet specifications. • Analyze test data, diagnose issues, and propose design revisions with manufacturing teams. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship in thermal science and fluid mechanics. • Align project scope, timelines, and objectives with engineering leaders and stakeholders. • Proactively manage ambiguity, communicate risks, and drive independent work. • Stay current on liquid‑cooling technologies through conferences and research. • Design and implement innovative cooling solutions based on emerging trends. • Utilize programming (MATLAB, Python, etc.) and simulation platforms (CoilDesigner, Dymola, etc.) to develop custom thermal tools.
