About the Role
The Operations and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the reliable performance of the cogeneration power plant at the John O. Pastore Center in Cranston, Rhode Island. Reporting to the O&M Manager, the role includes oversight of plant operations, coordination with customers and third‑party contractors, and adherence to safety and environmental policies. Equipment‑specific training will be provided. Key duties involve planning and executing maintenance activities, monitoring equipment health, and maintaining accurate records in the computerized maintenance system. The supervisor also ensures inventory readiness, conducts safety inspections, and responds to after‑hours emergencies as needed. • Serve as NORESCO’s primary liaison with customer personnel and third‑party maintenance contractors. • Lead rotating‑shift operators in daily operation of generators and supporting equipment. • Prepare, maintain, and update job plans for scheduled maintenance tasks. • Schedule and execute preventive‑maintenance activities per OEM intervals and standards. • Identify, procure, and manage resources such as parts, tools, and materials for maintenance jobs. • Review operations logs and performance data to detect early signs of equipment failure. • Analyze oil samples, operating hours, and OEM guidelines to schedule proactive component replacement. • Oversee subcontractor field service reports, track recommendations, and ensure warranty work is claimed promptly. • Maintain site documentation on NORESCO share drives and keep CMMS work orders accurate and up‑to‑date. • Develop and execute critical‑path plans for periodic maintenance outages, coordinating with clients and subcontractors. • Conduct plant inspections, safety walkthroughs, and enforce EHS policies during operations and maintenance. • Manage on‑site inventories of tools, test equipment, consumables, and critical spares. • Respond to emergent events after hours or on weekends as needed. • Supervise and train site operators and maintenance personnel, capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of power‑plant operations or maintenance experience. • Experience with safety programs such as LOTO, HAZMAT, and PPE. • Ability to lift 50 lb, climb 10‑ft ladders, and work on elevated platforms. • Valid state driver’s license and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Preferred: experience coordinating long‑term maintenance planning and workflow optimization. • Preferred: strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting aptitude and knowledge of power and steam generation. • Preferred: familiarity with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and continuous emission monitoring systems. • Preferred: OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) and residence within 1 hour of the site.

Compensation ranges from $29.70 to $48.29 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
