Install, maintain, and operate telecom equipment on towers while traveling full-time.

About the Role
This 100% travel position involves installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. You will implement MasTec’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. Core duties include climbing towers, erecting various tower types, off‑loading material, preparing sites, and installing carriers on new‑build and existing towers. You will assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles, assemble monopole, weld, and guyed towers, and install antennas ranging from microwave parabolic to VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast. Additional responsibilities cover transmission line installation, foundation, grounding, conduit work, and mentorship of less‑experienced technicians, along with any other duties assigned. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Climb towers and ladders; conduct erection of various tower types and off‑load material. • Prepare and clean sites; install new carriers on new‑build and existing towers. • Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, gin poles, and assemble monopole, weld, and guyed towers. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas and associated transmission lines. • Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and electrical installations. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians and complete other assigned duties.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least four years of tower experience, and a proven track record of high‑quality work and problem solving. Physical requirements include the ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, and hold a valid driver’s license; a PWSA certification is a plus. Knowledge of safety standards, the ability to read engineering prints, and a commitment to safety are essential. • High school diploma and minimum 4 years tower‑technician experience. • Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality work and solve complex problems. • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations; PWSA certification preferred. • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and instructions. • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
