ANZ IFP Financial Controller

About the Role
The ANZ IFP Financial Controller will manage and oversee financial reporting, risk and compliance for KC ANZ IFP, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, adherence to US and local GAAP, and robust internal controls. The role also leads working capital, accounts receivable budgeting, forecasting and analysis to support free‑cash‑flow metrics, mentors the finance team and partners with business leaders to drive process and system improvements. Key accountabilities include oversight of the Global Business Services centre, preparation of statutory accounts, financial governance, insurance and risk management, internal and external audit support, business improvement projects, and optimisation of working capital and AR. The controller will coach and develop the finance team, act as a trusted advisor to leadership, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional stakeholders such as Sales, Operations, HR and Legal. • Ensure integrity of financial results and timely reporting for IFP ANZ. • Oversee Global Business Services centre to maintain efficient financial operations and internal controls. • Prepare and report statutory accounts in line with local standards and corporate objectives. • Implement and monitor financial governance, controls, insurance and risk management. • Support internal and external audits, driving implementation of approved recommendations. • Lead business improvement projects and end‑to‑end process risk assessments. • Manage working capital and accounts receivable, including forecasting and optimisation. • Coach, develop and build a high‑performance finance team culture. • Act as trusted advisor to leadership, translating financial data into actionable business narratives. • Communicate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders (Sales, Operations, HR, Legal).

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, CPA/CA qualification, and 8‑10 years of relevant experience with at least five years in a managerial position. Candidates must have strong knowledge of US and local GAAP, regulatory and audit practices, ERP systems such as SAP, and possess excellent analytical, problem‑solving, commercial and communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/CA qualification. • 8‑10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial finance role. • Strong knowledge of US and local GAAP, regulatory requirements and audit practices. • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP. • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making and commercial acumen. • Demonstrated leadership, talent development and team management capabilities. • High attention to detail, disciplined time management and ability to meet deadlines. • Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholder influencing skills.
