About the Role
• Support project team in achieving scope, budget, schedule alignment, integrated team experience, construction readiness, and excellent financial performance • Assist with establishing and managing project budget and scope expectations, budget trending logs, and related communications and resources • Create and manage project schedules and key milestones; hold team members accountable for reaching milestones • Assist in regulatory approval and permitting process • Assist in preparation of bid packages and contract manuals • Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection • Identify technical design and specification concerns and escalate as needed for resolution

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Design Phase Engineer I to support project leadership during the design phase, focusing on customer experience, financial performance, scheduling, estimating, design and planning to ensure a smooth transition to construction operations. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position, and postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days, averaging 44 days. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or related field • Minimum two years of relevant experience • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and relevant web applications • Ability to travel up to 100%

Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $84,100 to $113,000, with higher ranges for offices in Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
