About the Role
The Compliance Monitor increases recycling and organic waste diversion by analyzing assigned customers’ discards and recommending, coordinating, and enforcing appropriate recycling and organics collection service. This position is best suited for someone who is organized, self‑driven, and likes to work independently. Key duties include auditing commercial and residential waste streams to identify contamination, conducting hands‑on waste audits by recording weights, photographing materials and producing reports, and coordinating logistics with Operations teams. The role also involves traveling to client sites, participating in education events, conducting site visits to ensure compliance, explaining program logistics, distributing informational materials, and observing collection practices to enforce policies. Daily activities are documented and reported using Excel or cloud‑based waste reporting software, and a filing system is maintained for customer records.
