About the Role

On call, on the move, keeping communities safe all winter long! As an On‑Call Snow Removal Employee, you will be responsible for promptly and efficiently removing snow after a snowfall to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles. You will be on standby during the winter months and called upon as needed to shovel, plow, and salt designated areas. You must remain on‑call during designated hours, responding quickly to requests for snow removal—often early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The job involves manual labor in cold and adverse weather, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand and walk for extended periods, and tolerate low temperatures. • Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and other assigned areas using shovels, snow blowers, or plows. • Apply salt, sand, or other de‑icing materials to icy surfaces. • Remain on‑call during specified hours, especially after snowfalls and during icy conditions. • Respond promptly to snow‑removal requests, often during early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Work in cold and adverse weather conditions.
