About the Role

The role provides management of the engineering function of accountability and serves as backup to the Site Engineering Director. The engineering manager oversees station needs and regulatory requirements, leads performance and development of engineering personnel, and ensures high‑quality results. They participate as a key manager in business planning, budgeting, and performance reviews, and fulfill managerial responsibilities such as employment, development, compensation, and performance evaluation. Through direct and subordinate actions, they provide technical leadership for short‑term and long‑term programs impacting site operations and support nuclear‑wide initiatives to standardize and enhance engineering systems. Additional duties include emergency response, department coverage, and support of outage activities as directed. • Manage engineering function to meet station and regulatory needs. • Lead development and performance of engineering staff toward high‑quality results. • Participate in business planning, budgeting, and performance reviews for site engineering. • Oversee employment, compensation, and performance evaluations for assigned personnel. • Provide technical leadership for short‑term and long‑term site operation programs. • Support nuclear‑wide engineering system standardization initiatives. • Respond to emergencies, provide department coverage, and assist with outage activities. • Maintain required SRO licensing, meet ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 qualifications, and satisfy access and medical standards.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related science) or an active/inactive Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license, and have 10 years of overall experience including 4 years in power plants, 1 year in nuclear power, and 1 year in supervisory or managerial roles. An active or inactive SRO license, certification, or equivalent plant operational knowledge is required, along with compliance with ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 standards and meeting access and medical requirements. Preferred credentials include Professional Engineering registration and an advanced technical degree or MBA. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an active/inactive SRO license. • Possess at least 10 years of experience, including power plant, nuclear, and supervisory exposure. • Preferred: Professional Engineering registration and an advanced degree or MBA.
