About the Role
In this position, you will lead by example, promote continuous‑improvement principles, and support improvement events from preparation through follow‑up, while measuring performance and recognizing team contributions. • Partner with project leadership and craft workforce to secure buy‑in for lean initiatives • Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Coach teams in continuous‑improvement methods and act as a lean resource on‑site • Identify opportunities and execute improvements, supporting improvement events • Enable field leaders to apply Kaizen after events • Measure baseline performance and track improvements across projects • Recognize crews and teams for their contribution to improvements • Develop and implement Production Preparation Process for new scopes • Champion 5S practices with superintendents, field leaders, and trade partners

What You Bring
BLUvera, Mortenson’s vertically integrated manufacturing and fabrication affiliate, is seeking an experienced Lean Manager I to support operating groups and project teams. The role will define and execute Lean Innovation agendas and Project Standard Work while interacting professionally and confidentially with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction‑related fields or equivalent experience, at least six years of construction or manufacturing experience, and three years applying continuous‑improvement practices, along with a valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50%. • Bachelor’s degree in construction‑related field or equivalent experience • Minimum six years construction or manufacturing experience • Minimum three years applying continuous‑improvement in similar environments • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50% • Expert knowledge of lean principles and ability to coach/mentor • Strong relationship‑building, influencing, and communication skills • Proactive self‑starter with growth mindset and curiosity • Understanding of EEO, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative‑action plans

Benefits
Base pay ranges from $100,100 to $150,200, with higher rates for select locations, and the position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
