Design Coordinator

About the Role

In the Ottawa studio, the architect will lead design development, collaborate closely with owners, clients, and subconsultants, coordinate consultant deliverables, conduct on‑site evaluations, and oversee construction administration, ensuring that specifications and code requirements are met throughout every project phase. • Evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques to construction documents. • Perform assignments independently with minimal guidance. • Liaise with owners/clients and subconsultants to recommend procedures. • Coordinate subconsultant work to align with project requirements. • Conduct on‑site evaluations and lead construction administration with contractors. • Write architectural specifications and perform code reviews. • Assist Project Architects and take responsibility across all architectural phases.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold an architecture degree, are eligible for registration, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, analytical, and graphic presentation skills, along with proficiency in Revit and related design tools. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or related field) and be eligible for registration. • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and experienced with Microsoft Office suite. • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑management skills. • Exhibit analytical, problem‑solving, and graphic presentation abilities. • Preferred: Master’s degree in Architecture; French language skills; interest in sustainable design/LEED; proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3‑D Studio Max, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
