About the Role

The Account Manager will direct, coordinate, and perform all assigned maintenance and facility activities, overseeing the “Safety First” program, customer relations, employee development, staffing, policy implementation, budget preparation, and cost control. This role carries profit and loss responsibility, quality control, maintenance process development, and all associated administrative functions. Management duties include supervising all salaried and hourly staff at the account, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company and client policies, and maintaining positive customer and employee relationships. The manager will also coordinate activities across the client portfolio, develop long‑range planning, and maintain performance‑metric records. • Direct and coordinate all maintenance and facility activities, including safety programs. • Manage customer relations, employee development, staffing, and policy enforcement. • Prepare budgets, control costs, and hold profit‑and‑loss responsibility for the account. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company/client policies. • Supervise all salaried and hourly staff, maintaining performance metrics and records. • Develop long‑range plans aligned with client and company objectives.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least five years of maintenance management experience, with supervision, planning, scheduling, and estimating skills preferred. An advanced degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management is advantageous but not required. Membership in professional organizations such as SMRP, IFMA, or BOMA and relevant certifications are desired, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The role requires physical abilities such as lifting up to 50 lb, operating hand and power tools, using forklifts, and working at heights on staircases, ladders, or step stools. Additional demands include extended periods of movement, wearing a respirator when needed, and possessing fine motor skills and precise control of machinery. Employees will work in environments with moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, toxic chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibration. Exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, and loud noise levels is also common, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. • Require minimum five years of maintenance management experience; advanced degree preferred. • Membership in professional organizations (SMRP, IFMA, BOMA) and relevant certifications desired. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, use hand/power tools, operate forklifts, and work at heights. • Capable of working in noisy, extreme temperature, and hazardous environments.

Benefits

The position offers a salary ranging from $93,500 to $110,000 depending on experience, with an average work week of 45 hours, Monday through Friday, plus on‑call duties during evenings and weekends.
