Key responsibilities include operating construction cranes to move equipment, planning and executing lifts, inspecting equipment, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. The operator may follow signaler directions, assess the work area for hazards, and complete related paperwork. • Operate cranes to lift and move equipment, plan lifts, and conduct equipment inspections. • Follow hand signals and signaler directions, and complete inspection paperwork.

What You Bring
This position is for an Industrial Heavy Equipment Operator who will operate one or more cranes to transport heavy equipment and materials, often requiring changes in altitude. The role demands proficiency with both friction‑type and rough‑terrain (RT) cranes. Candidates must hold a current National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) credential for the specific crane type, possess a valid DOT physical, and have at least five years of crane‑operating experience. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the required personal tools are also mandatory. The role requires the ability to sit for long periods, communicate verbally, use arms and hands for signaling and handling controls, and lift or carry up to 50 lb. Workers must pass a visual acuity test and wear standard personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, vest, gloves, and leather boots. Preferred candidates have prior experience with Zachry Industrial, are familiar with crane models such as Manitowoc 2250, 16000, 4100, Link belt 218, Kabelco 2500, and RT cranes ranging from 25 ton to 140 ton, and possess formal technical education. • Hold a current NCCCO crane operator certification and up‑to‑date DOT medical physical. • Minimum five years of experience operating friction and rough‑terrain cranes up to 140 tons. • Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and required personal tools (rain coat, rain boots, PPE). • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lb, sit for extended periods, and wear full PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, vest, gloves, boots). • Available to work scheduled hours, overtime as needed, and assist with additional duties. • NCCCO certifications required: Telescopic Boom Cranes—Fixed Cab (TSS) and Swing Cab (TLL). • Preferred: prior Zachry employment or experience with Zachry Industrial and familiarity with listed crane models.
