About the Role
The Social Media Manager will join a team that creates and distributes content across LAFC’s social channels, focusing on filming and editing short‑form video that connects with the community. This role co‑manages the social media strategy, requires travel to corporate offices, the training facility, BMO Stadium, and all LAFC matches, and collaborates with Design, Video, Brand, Community, Partnerships, Communications, and Team Operations. • Produce high‑quality short‑form vertical videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories, and similar platforms. • Edit videos to create compelling stories aligned with brand voice and style guidelines. • Manage content calendars and schedule strategic posts for each social platform. • Collaborate with design and content teams to develop creative concepts and campaigns. • Monitor latest social media trends, especially short‑form video formats. • Engage community by monitoring and responding to audience comments and messages. • Track and analyze social media performance, providing insights for optimization. • Support broader team with additional tasks and projects as needed. • Travel to and cover all home and away games.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in social media management, preferably in sports or live entertainment. • Experience capturing content in live‑event environments. • Proficiency with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories, and other vertical video platforms. • Strong understanding of social media metrics and data‑driven decision making. • Proven success in growing engagement and follower counts. • Proficient with video editing software. • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, unstructured setting. • Availability to travel with the team to all games and possess a valid U.S. passport. • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays according to the event calendar. • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; bilingual Spanish or Korean preferred.

Benefits
Reporting to the Director of Social Media and Marketing, the position operates on a hybrid model with a minimum of two in‑office days per week, though scheduling may vary at the supervisor’s discretion. Compensation for this role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, reflecting factors such as skill set, experience, and training.
