About the Role
• Operate vehicles in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch • Attend mandatory training programs, briefings, and meetings • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed • Communicate customer requests and ensure sites are left clean after dumping • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and identify best practices

What You Bring
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments to transport waste or recyclable material to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Responsibilities vary by line of business—residential drivers collect household waste, roll‑off drivers handle large open‑top containers, and all drivers must perform skilled backing maneuvers in high‑traffic, congested environments. • Required: Minimum 1 year CDL‑Class A or B with air‑brake endorsement (or equivalent military driving) within the last 7 years, age 18+, legal work eligibility • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED • Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing
