About the Role
The engineer will manage SAP variant configuration for GIS portfolio products, develop innovative solutions following standards and design rules, and collaborate with global partners such as R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales. They will analyze and resolve interdisciplinary problems, contribute to team discussions, and share technical knowledge to ensure timely, high‑quality results. • Manage SAP variant configuration for GIS portfolio products • Maintain Material Master, Bill of Materials, and Engineering Change Master data • Develop product solutions adhering to standards, design rules, and processes • Collaborate with global R&D, product management, supply chain, production, and sales teams • Analyze and solve interdisciplinary technical problems • Share technical knowledge and support colleagues in process and tool usage • Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders on configuration profiles, scenarios, and material variants

What You Bring
Required background includes a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering, extensive experience with SAP ERP systems, and strong spoken and written English. Experience with high‑voltage switchgear is a plus, and the candidate must thrive in a multicultural, multidisciplinary, globally distributed team while demonstrating a creative, independent, solution‑oriented approach. • Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering • Significant experience with SAP ERP systems, especially variant configuration • Proficiency in spoken and written English • Ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary, global teams • Creative, independent, solution‑oriented mindset • Desirable: experience with high‑voltage switchgear
