About the Role
The Warranty Return Technician is responsible for accurately diagnosing warranty‑return products, determining root causes, repairing them, and performing full functional testing before shipment back to the customer. The role supports Hubbell’s electric‑utility product line and may also assist in diagnosing production‑line failures, working independently with minimal supervision and overtime as needed. • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and mechanical assemblies from component to system level. • Operate both automated and manual test equipment. • Follow and interpret procedures, drawings, and schematics. • Test and repair assigned product lines. • Maintain an organized, dust‑free work area. • Publish accurate, detailed, and timely failure‑analysis and repair reports. • Analyze and troubleshoot devices from system to component level. • Interpret schematic diagrams and engineering drawings. • Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Perform through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering. • Follow basic safety procedures and correctly operate tools. • Produce clear technical documentation.

What You Bring
The position requires proficiency with a range of test equipment and software to conduct both electronic and mechanical assessments, and to produce detailed, timely failure‑analysis and repair reports. Applicants need at least five years of experience in an electro‑mechanical manufacturing or laboratory setting and an associate degree in engineering technology or a related field; three years of direct testing and failure‑analysis experience is preferred. Equivalent hands‑on experience in repairing digital/analog circuits and mechanical assemblies is also acceptable. • Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members. • Use PC application software (LabVIEW, Excel, Word, Visio, SAP) proficiently. • Understand analog and digital signal characteristics.
