About the Role
The senior manager will provide high‑level technical project leadership for high‑voltage electric power projects, including transmission, substation, and distribution work. Responsibilities span administrative, commercial and technical components, ensuring performance in finance, quality, safety and schedule. The manager will oversee the full project lifecycle—from proposal and startup through execution, reporting and close‑out—while adhering to WSP’s corporate standards. Key duties include directing the planning process, material procurement, construction, outage coordination, testing, commissioning and project close‑out. The manager will control cost and schedule metrics, manage risk, procurement, environmental and safety aspects, and oversee public and ROW services. Business development activities such as client presentations, proposal coordination and negotiations are also expected. The role requires supervising cross‑functional teams, tracking budgets, hours and deliverables, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and QA/QC plans. • Provide end‑to‑end leadership for high‑voltage transmission, substation and distribution projects. • Direct project planning, design, procurement, construction, outage coordination, testing, commissioning and close‑out. • Manage cost, schedule, risk, procurement, environmental, safety and construction performance metrics. • Drive new business by preparing proposals, delivering client presentations and negotiating contracts. • Supervise cross‑functional teams, monitor budgets, hours, expenses and ensure contractual compliance. • Conduct technical reviews and enforce QA/QC processes throughout the project lifecycle. • Uphold ethical decision‑making and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related field and bring at least ten years of experience managing large‑scale, high‑voltage power projects, especially in transmission and substation work. Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and to engage customers, partners and subcontractors is essential. Benefits
A professional project management certification such as PMP or CAP‑M is mandatory, and a master’s degree in engineering is preferred. The expected salary range for this position is $130,000‑$220,000, with compensation determined by experience, location and internal equity.
