About the Role
The Facilities Management officer oversees maintenance of buildings, utilities, and other camp facilities, ensuring they are functional, safe, and compliant with military standards. They develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for key infrastructure such as water systems, electrical, and HVAC to reduce downtime and extend facility longevity. They manage repair and troubleshooting of facilities‑related issues, coordinating with contractors and internal teams for efficient resolution. The officer ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations through regular inspections and audits, and collaborates with senior officers, contractors, and team members to plan and execute maintenance activities while reporting on status and upcoming needs. In emergencies such as power outages, flooding, or structural issues, the Technical Officer responds quickly to minimize operational impact and ensure swift resolutions. • Oversee maintenance of buildings, utilities, and camp facilities to ensure functionality, safety, and military compliance. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for water, electrical, and HVAC systems. • Manage repair and troubleshooting, coordinating with contractors and internal teams. • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance through inspections and audits. • Collaborate with senior officers, contractors, and team members to plan and report maintenance activities. • Respond to facility emergencies (e.g., power outages, flooding, structural issues) to minimize operational impact.

Technical Officer • Expression of Interest: A Facilities Maintenance Technical Officer in an Army Camp is responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of all camp facilities and infrastructure. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving, and the ability to manage a team in a fast‑paced military environment. Candidates should hold a diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or an equivalent qualification, and possess at least two years of relevant facilities operation experience in a FM service provider, factory, or owner environment. Additional FM, ECO, or safety‑related certificates are advantageous. • Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent. • Minimum 2 years of facilities operation experience in FM service provider, factory, or owner setting. • FM, ECO, or other safety‑related certifications (advantageous).
