About the Role

The position involves performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a range of electrical, electronic, and electro‑mechanical equipment—from 125 VDC up to 25 kVAC—to ensure continuous operation and support refueling activities. Key duties include ongoing training to meet ANSI and INPO standards, collaboration with technicians and multi‑discipline crafts, development of troubleshooting plans, participation in the Emergency Response Plan, work in radiologically controlled areas, and recommending improvements to schematics and equipment for reliability. • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on motors, sequential controls, inverters, radio‑controlled cranes, circuit breakers, and motor‑operated valves (125 VDC–25 kVAC). • Use advanced diagnostic tools to test, adjust, and repair relays, meters, electronic equipment, reactor control rod drive systems, and MOVs. • Develop written performance and troubleshooting plans to analyze malfunctions and determine root causes. • Communicate and coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and multi‑discipline crafts. • Attend continuing training to maintain proficiency according to ANSI and INPO standards. • Participate in the Emergency Response Plan and perform tasks in radiologically controlled areas. • Prepare and recommend improvements to schematics, test devices, and systems to enhance performance and reliability.

What You Bring

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and either an associate degree in a technical field, two years of military electrical experience, or two years as a journeyman electrician, along with successful completion of the Technician Occupations Selection System test, the ability to work at heights and long distances, flexible hours, and unescorted nuclear access. • Meet minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent plus an associate degree in a technical field, or 2 years of military electrical experience, or 2 years as a journeyman electrician. • Successfully complete the Technician Occupations Selection System test. • Ability to work in a power‑plant environment that includes climbing, heights, and long‑distance walking. • Ability to work flexible, sometimes extended hours, including nights and weekends. • Hold nuclear unescorted access authorization.
