About the Role

The Senior Cost Manager leads cost management services for construction projects, overseeing cost control, quality objectives and commission management through D‑365 while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Key duties include fostering a collaborative team culture, engaging clients and stakeholders, developing robust cost reporting and control mechanisms, managing estimating, value engineering and life‑cycle costing, leading commercial negotiations, and overseeing invoicing and risk management processes. Performance is measured through quarterly check‑ins with direct reports, achievement of project timelines, budgets and quality standards reflected in client care scores, and 100 % compliance with D‑365 financial reporting and invoicing requirements. • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and ensure effective collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. • Promote a positive team culture through open communication, mentorship, and onboarding of new members. • Develop and maintain robust cost reporting structures, control mechanisms, and monthly post‑contract cost reports. • Act as Commission Manager, overseeing end‑to‑end service delivery for large or multiple commissions. • Manage estimating, cost planning, value engineering, and life‑cycle costing activities. • Lead commercial negotiations and contract administration alongside the cost management team. • Oversee invoicing in D‑365, validating data, coordinating with finance, and ensuring compliance with billing requirements. • Support internal risk management procedures and maintain the contract database. • Conduct quarterly check‑ins with direct reports and track development via Peakon surveys. • Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards, reflected in client care scores. • Achieve 100 % compliance in financial reporting and invoicing through D‑365.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related field (master’s a plus), have 11‑15 years of relevant experience, strong communication and leadership skills, proficiency in Cost‑X or equivalent software, native‑level fluency in the local language and business‑level English. • Bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus). • 11–15 years of cost management or construction project experience. • Strong communication, leadership, and people‑management abilities. • Business acumen to drive client outcomes and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. • Experience in client‑facing roles with value management, value engineering, and life‑cycle costing. • Native proficiency in the local language and business‑level English. • Proficiency with Cost‑X or equivalent cost estimation software.
